The EVERSAFE Washable Ceramic Cartridges are designed for the removal of suspended solids, dirt, sediment, etc. down to 1 micron in diameter. This microstraining cartridge is also capable of removing GIARDIA and CRYPTOSPORIDIUM CYSTS from otherwise PORTABLE DRINKING WATER. When flow of water through the cartridge drops to an unacceptable level, the cartridge may be cleaned with water and a scouring pad to restore flow. Only a very thin layer of the cartridge is removed with each cleaning, thus the cartridge may be cleaned repeatedly for many times until flow of water is not restored. Since the Ceramic Cartridge is very FRAGILE, do handle with care as a slight drop will cause cracks in the ceramic. If the cartridge is cracked, discard the damage cartridge and replace it with a new cartridge.
