150233 Pentair 20″ Big Blue Filter Housing Description
Pentair Big Blue Heavy Duty Filter Housings offer the versatility to meet all of your large-capacity filtration needs, including high flow and heavy-sediment applications. The extra large housing allows for greater cartridge capacity, reducing the number of vessels required for high flow-rate applications.
The High-Flow Polypropylene (HFPP) cap is available with 3/4″, 1″ or 1-1/2″ NPT inlet and outlet ports. The 1-1/2″ internal port allows a greater volume of liquid to pass through the HFPP cap more rapidly.
Big Blue Housings are compatible with a broad range of chemicals and are available with or without a pressure relief button. They accept a wide variety of 4-1/2″ diameter cartridges.

255493-43 ECP1-20BB Cartridge Description
Pentair Pentek ECP Series Cartridges are manufactured from a special formulation of resin-impregnated cellulose and polyester fibers.
This unique blend of materials provides a higher wet strength than regular cellulose cartridges. It also provides high flow rates and dirt holding capacity while maintaining extremely low pressure drop.
The media is pleated around a polypropylene core for added strength. The pleated endcaps of the standard cartridges are immersed in a thermosetting vinyl plastisol. The Big Blue cartridges have a molded endcap with gaskets. The pleated ends are sealed to the endcap with a thermoplastic adhesive. The overlap seam is sonically welded to reduce internal bypass, improving filtration efficiency.
